Schneider Electric M221 PLC

Need a small PLC to manage few inputs outputs ?
Have you thought to the Schneider Electric M221 PLC ?

Up to 40 digital inputs and outputs (including 4 fast inputs 100 kHz) and 2 analog inputs 0-10V embedded.
The addition of extension modules TM3 extends the inputs and outputs number and type, especially temperature and 0-20mA analog.
The HMI TMH2GDB can be connected to the integrated serial port to communicate with an user.
The development software SoMachine Basic is free.

Oscat library

Need to program a function ? Check before if it does not yet exists on :

The Oscat library is free and offers functions for Codesys et Step 7 softwares. All is well documented.

The website is in German language but programm and documentation are in English.

Don’t hesitate to tell me if you know some others librarys on the same belief.

IP default factory address

M221 The Schneider-Electric Modicon M221 logic controllers can be reached by USB interface or by Ethernet interface if the IP address is known. It can be useful to know the IP factory fault address if you do not have an USB cable. By default, the IP address is : 10.10.X.Y with X and Y = penultimate and last digits of the MAC address converted from hexadecimal to decimal.

Exemple for the MAC address 10:BC:0C:07:14:2A, the IP address is 10.10.20.42
